A Documentary Film Screening and Discussion
In partnership with UJA-Federation of New York
Despite the testimony of the survivors and medical professionals, the global response to the rapes of Israeli women on and after October 7 was tepid, at best; at worst it was rationalized or denied.
Where was the outrage?
Last December, Sheryl Sandberg, Founder of Lean In, joined Hillary Clinton and Senator Kirsten Gillibrand at the United Nations to berate the international organization – as well as international activists who portend to stand for all women – for refusing to take seriously the scope of the brutal sexual violence against Israeli women.
Sandberg then went a step further, working with a team of Israeli filmmakers to expose both the brutality and the silence around it in a powerful and chilling documentary film.
Join us for the first New York public screening of Screams Before Silence, followed by a discussion with:
Simcha Greinman, Deputy Commander, Zaka, Israel’s leading non-governmental international search & rescue organization
Professor Ruth Halperin-Kaddari, Faculty of Law, Bar-Ilan University, Co-Founded The Dinah Project 7/10
Eytan Schwartz, Film Producer
Special virtual appearance by Sheryl Sandberg
